Small's Fruit Farm

We have Vegetables too!!

We raise around 40 acres of vegetables consisting of Sweet Corn, Watermelon, Muskmelon, Tomatoes, Squash, Pumpkin, Gourds, Peppers and several others.
We start all our plants in the greenhouse.  We transplant them into plastic mulch, with trickle irrigation tubes under the plastic.  To get vegetables early in the season we use plastic row covers.  With this kind of culture we usually pick ripe tomatoes by June 10th!

Sales Barn

Stop by the Sales Barn for all your fresh produce needs.  We are open 8 am to 6 pm daily.

1 Block East of #183-127 on County Road F32.  3 miles east of Mondamin or 11 miles north of Missouri Valley.

Muskmelon

Muskmelon is so named because of the delightful odor of the ripe fruits. Musk is a Persian word for a kind of perfume; melon is French, from the Latin melopepo, meaning "apple-shaped melon" and derived from Greek words of similar meaning.

Vegetables

All during the summer growing season we strive to provide the freshest vegetables, grown on our farm.  Stop by for all your fresh vegetable needs.

Pumpkin

When the kids are ready for pumpkin carving, bring them to the farm and let them pick their own right off the vine!
