Smalls Fruit Farm     Mondamin Iowa     712-646-2723

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Every year we are amazed by how wonderful our customers are. 2011 was a phenomenal year. We met lots of new people and saw lots of old friends. Thank you for being a part of that.

2012 is looks promising so far. We are hoping for the right weather and cooperative plants. Please make sure you drop us a line if you have any questions. We like to spend winter with our families and for Grandma and Grandpa that means lots of fun until we ship them home. Hopefully, you are enjoying the Holidays with your family too!

Our orchards cling to the slopes and high ground of the Loess Hills overlooking the Missouri River valley near Mondamin, Iowa.
On a trip to this area in 1894, my great, great-grandfather chanced to purchase some apples from a local farmer.  Remembering the taste to be unusually good, he returned the following year, purchased the farmer's land and started planting his first orchard.
My wife Renee and I, still own much of the land which my great, great-grandfather acquired over a century ago.
The farm now consists of nearly 40 acres of apple orchards plus various acres of other fruits and vegetables.  The existing older orchards were planted by my grandfather Ellis Small, and maintained by my father Russ Small, both spent their lifetime as an apple growers.
Apples and many other food products are sold here at the Farm. Each year we ship or apples to a growing list of customers nationwide and would be glad to include you on our list.
We invite you to stop by soon to visit our orchards, sample our apples, sip our cider and just plain make yourselves at home.

Thank You,
Jim Small
